Faith Odunsi, a 15-year-old mathematical genius from Nigeria, has clinched the title of Global Math Champion, surpassing contestants from 193 countries in the Global Open Mathematics Tournament.

Faith's remarkable accomplishment gained her recognition on a global scale as she outperformed students from renowned nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, and China. Her astonishing feat of solving 19 complex math questions in a mere 60 seconds captivated observers worldwide.

Faith, who is currently in her final year at Ota State Ambassador School in South-West Nigeria, had previously earned the title of the best Mathematics student in Nigeria, making her the natural choice to represent her country in this prestigious global competition.

The tournament presented various challenges, with Faith facing a tough computer-based test in the early stages, where she answered numerous questions in one hour, securing an impressive score of 66. Subsequent stages maintained a high level of difficulty, including Microsoft-themed quarter and semi-finals. Throughout the competition, the participants had to swiftly provide answers, earning points for correct responses.

Faith's dedication to her studies was remarkable, as she managed to balance her academic responsibilities with competition preparation. She ensured that the tournament did not affect her regular school activities. She devoted extra hours to coaching sessions with her teacher and late-night study sessions from 11 pm to 12 am.
