Jasmine Harrison, a 17-year-old academic prodigy from Greensboro, North Carolina, has achieved a remarkable feat by obtaining scholarship offers totaling $4.5 million from 113 universities across the United States. Jasmine, who graduated from The Academy with a perfect 4.00 grade point, is set to embark on a journey toward becoming a Nurse.

The extraordinary accomplishment by Jasmine not only showcases her academic prowess but also underscores her commitment to higher education. Among the universities that extended offers to Jasmine, 26 were Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs). Notably, she opted for a full-ride scholarship at Bennett College, located in her hometown.

On challenging nights, Jasmine and her mother found solace in singing gospel songs as they persevered through the application process.

Jasmine's mother, Bravena M. Armstrong, shared that Jasmine initially aimed to apply to all colleges in Florida but gained confidence as acceptances and financial aid awards poured in. Despite rejections from two universities, Jasmine remained resilient, applying to schools in North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, Maryland, and Colorado.

Reflecting on her daughter's journey, Bravena mentioned, "I felt if I can get into all of these, where else can I get in?" Despite the impressive array of acceptances, Jasmine was rejected by the University of South Carolina and Seton Hall University.

Jasmine, determined to make a difference in healthcare, plans to major in Biology at Bennett University with aspirations of becoming a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse. Her story exemplifies the power of determination, resilience, and the pursuit of educational excellence.
