In a remarkable achievement, Aaliyah Duah, a 20-year-old graduate of Virginia State University, has been honored as the Entrepreneur of the Year by Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs). Aaliyah's incredible accomplishment comes as a result of her exceptional work in promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurship within the Black community.

Aaliyah Duah recently graduated from Virginia State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Management, a testament to her dedication and determination.What sets Aaliyah apart is her commitment to educating her peers about the critical importance of financial literacy and entrepreneurship, particularly in underrepresented communities.

Growing up in Brooklyn, New York City, Aaliyah witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of poor financial decisions on individuals and communities. It was during the pandemic that she had an epiphany, realizing that society often places excessive value on material possessions at the expense of genuine well-being. This realization propelled her to initiate a "Financial Revolution" within the Black community, a mission to promote financial education tirelessly.

Aaliyah's entrepreneurial journey extends beyond her educational achievements. During her time in college, she authored "The Blueprint for Investing," a book that offers readers a comprehensive step-by-step guide to investing in the stock market. Remarkably, she sold over 100 copies of the book in just two weeks, defying statistics.

Aaliyah also created an innovative financial literacy game called "Rap Cards," which uses rap lyrics to make money management more engaging and accessible, particularly for young people.
