Ebonyi State University Admission Requirements for 2024/2025 Academic Session
This serves as an official notice to all prospective candidates seeking admission into Ebonyi State University (EBSU) for the 2024/2025 academic session. The following requirements outline the criteria for admission consideration into various undergraduate programs offered at EBSU. JAMB (UTME) Admission Requirements:

1. SSCE/GCE Credits: Candidates must possess a minimum of five credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) or its equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings.
2. JAMB Subject Combination: Applicants are required to choose the correct JAMB subject combination relevant to their chosen course. Detailed information regarding subject combinations can be found in the JAMB brochure.
3. JAMB UTME Score: A minimum score of 180 in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is mandatory for consideration for admission into Ebonyi State University.
4. Post UTME/Screening Participation: Candidates must participate in the EBSU Post UTME/Screening exercise, if applicable for the year, to be considered for admission.
5. Age Requirement: Applicants must have attained the age of 16 years or above.

Direct Entry (DE) Admission Requirements:
1. SSCE/GCE Credits: Similar to UTME candidates, Direct Entry applicants must possess a minimum of five credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) or its equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings.
2. A’ Level/IJMB Passes: Candidates should have 'A' level/IJMB passes in two subjects relevant to their area of study.
3. JUPEB/A’ Level Passes: Alternatively, candidates may present JUPEB/A’ Level passes in related subjects.
4. Degree Qualifications: For consideration, candidates should hold a Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields pertinent to their chosen course.

5. Merit Pass in NCE/ND: Direct entry candidates must attain a minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), or other Advanced Level Certificates.
6. EBSU Direct Entry Form: Applicants are required to purchase the EBSU Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and EBSU Portal.
