Objectives of the Sensitization Programme
The programme is designed to:
- Familiarize departments with the NERD plagiarism detection framework.
- Outline the roles and responsibilities of Heads of Departments (HODs) and NERD Departmental Representatives in implementing the policy.
- Demonstrate the use of the NERD repository for undergraduate project submission and plagiarism verification.
- Address implementation challenges and share best practices for ensuring originality in undergraduate research.
The university emphasized that attendance is mandatory for all final-year students. Attendance will be taken on a department-by-department basis, and participation in the sensitization programme will serve as a prerequisite for graduation.
