Abia NSCDC Commandant Commends Umuahia University Founder

Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, the Commandant of Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, has praised the establishment of a university in Umuahia, describing it as a positive development for the area. Alfadarai made these remarks during the unveiling of the permanent site of Lux Mundi University in Afara, emphasizing the university's contribution to the region and highlighting its significance as a result of improved security measures.

The founder and Pro-Chancellor of Lux Mundi University, Prof. Gabriel O. C. Okenwa, expressed his motivation for establishing the university, citing a desire to contribute to Umuahia's development, alleviate the strain on national university admissions, and respond to a call from the previous state administration. Okenwa emphasized his commitment to giving back to his community and investing in education, noting the support received from various stakeholders, including a local bank, foreign partners, and the Abia State government.
