Student leaders from various departments and faculties at Abia State University, Uturu, in a recent Student Union Government (SUG) meeting, discussed the pressing issue of the course registration portal closure for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The President of the Student Union Government (SUG) at Abia State University, Comr. Okezie Almond Kezirim, provided insights into the ongoing negotiation efforts between the SUG and university management.
These efforts include a series of letters and meetings aimed at reopening the portal. Following his address, the Council of Presidents engaged in deliberations, seeking solutions to address the registration challenge.
The Council of Presidents reached a consensus: proactive measures are necessary. They plan to meet with the Dean of Student Affairs on Tuesday, 16th July 2024, and also schedule a meeting with the Vice Chancellor.
