Abia State University (ABSU) has achieved exceptional results in the October/November 2023 Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise, securing full accreditation for all its academic programmes presented. This feat underscores ABSU's position among Nigeria's top universities for academics and research.

According to the released results, ABSU attained a perfect score of 100% across its four Postgraduate and fifteen Undergraduate programmes, including M.Sc Accounting, Banking and Finance, Management, Marketing, and disciplines such as Anatomy, Medical Laboratory Science, Computer Science, and Engineering fields like Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, and Building Engineering.

Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, the Vice-Chancellor, credited this achievement to exemplary leadership and the steadfast support of the Executive Governor and Visitor to the University, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR. He expressed gratitude to the Governing Council, Senate, and students for their dedication and cooperation, pledging to sustain ABSU's academic excellence.
