In the wake of a tragic incident involving the reported killing of a student in a cult clash near a lodge along Isuikwuato road Uturu, the Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University, Distinguished Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, has reaffirmed his administration's unwavering commitment to eradicating all forms of cultism within the university.
Expressing condolences to the family of the deceased, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the imperative of a united effort in rooting out the perpetrators of such heinous acts. He commended the joint security team comprising the Army, Police, ABSU security personnel, and Senate Security Committee for their efforts in maintaining peace, particularly during the ongoing second-semester examinations.

Furthermore, Professor Ogbulu urged parents to engage in regular dialogues with their children attending the university to ensure they steer clear of harmful associations.
