Achievers University (AUO), Ondo, hosted a dynamic five-day orientation programme for its 2025/2026 fresh students from October 13 to 17, 2025, designed to ease their transition into university life.

The event, organized by the Student Affairs Division, took place at the Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Auditorium and drew hundreds of newly admitted students.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in university-wide briefings, cultural sessions, interactive workshops, and campus tours, receiving guidance from faculty, administrative leaders, and external agencies. A highlight occurred on October 16, when representatives from the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Ondo State branch, addressed students on civic responsibility, national values, and youth engagement, stressing the importance of education in shaping responsible citizens and future leaders.

The orientation concluded on October 17 with a special welcome session led by Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Oyesoji Aremu. In his address, Professor Aremu encouraged the students to embrace the opportunities available, commit to excellence in character and scholarship, and view the university as a community for personal growth, lifelong relationships, and meaningful societal contributions.

Professor Aremu also reiterated AUO’s dedication to student welfare, innovation, and academic integrity, assuring the new cohort of a supportive environment that nurtures development. As classes commence, the university community looks forward to seeing this generation of scholars thrive.
