Adamawa Deputy Governor Commissions Five New Vehicles for Federal University of Wukari
The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta — who represented Governor Ahmadu Fintiri as the Special Guest — commissioned five new vehicles at the Federal University of Wukari, Taraba State, on Friday, 29 November 2025. The vehicles were handed over during the university’s 8th and 9th combined convocation ceremony, held on Saturday.
Professor Farauta, a former Vice‑Chancellor of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, praised the university management for procuring the vehicles, describing the acquisition as “testament to good leadership” and expressing confidence that they would be used judiciously to facilitate the movement of university staff, students and administrators.
The Vice‑Chancellor of the Federal University of Wukari, Professor Jude Sammani Rabo, said the vehicles were purchased with a 2024 institutional grant.
Earlier in the convocation programme, the Guest Lecturer — Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) — delivered a paper titled “Technology as an Enabler of Humanitarian Support and Inclusive Empowerment and Development,” during which he announced a N20 million research grant for humanitarian‑development studies.
The event was covered by the university’s Press Secretary, Hussaini Hammangabdo.
