The Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) has issued a strong warning to parents and prospective applicants to disregard false information currently circulating on social media regarding its ongoing admissions process.

In an official statement released by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Makut Alfred Mashat (ANIPR), the institution described the viral messages as unauthorized, inaccurate, and misleading. The University emphasized that it has not released any new directives or announcements beyond what has been duly published on its official communication platforms.

According to the statement, “The attention of the University has been drawn to false and unverified information currently circulating online, particularly on social media platforms, regarding the ongoing admissions process. We wish to state categorically that this information is unauthorized, inaccurate, and does not represent any official communication from the University.”

The University reiterated that its only recognized channels for verified information remain the official website — www.adun.edu.ng — and the University’s dedicated helpline (09165000222).

Mr. Mashat further assured parents and applicants that the admission process is still ongoing and urged them to remain patient, noting that admission offers will only be extended to candidates who meet all stipulated criteria through the official procedure.

He advised applicants to verify any doubtful information directly from the University before taking action, stressing that the institution remains committed to transparency, integrity, and due process in all its operations.
