Afe Babalola University Law Graduates Achieve 94% Pass Rate in 2023 Bar Examination
Law graduates from Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) have attained an impressive 94% pass rate in the November 2023 Bar Examination, securing 21 First Class and 69 Second Class Upper Division honors. This notable achievement was announced by Tunde Olofintila, the Director of Corporate Affairs at ABUAD, in a statement released on Sunday.
Olofintila attributed this remarkable performance to the quality educational training received by ABUAD's law graduates during their undergraduate studies. He highlighted the university's commitment to excellence, citing recent accolades such as being ranked as the number one university in Nigeria for two consecutive years (2022 & 2023) by the UK-based Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
"The academic feats of our law graduates in the Bar examination are a testament to ABUAD's dedication to providing top-tier education," Olofintila remarked.
The statement further emphasized ABUAD's rapid ascent in the educational landscape, despite being only 14 years old. It lauded the university's pioneering status as the first private university in Nigeria to commence academic activities on its permanent site with all necessary resources in place.

During a briefing with the founder of ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, the Provost of the College of Law, Professor Tunde Yebisi, commended Babalola for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence in education. Yebisi attributed the university's success to Babalola's guidance and support, which played a pivotal role in achieving such commendable results.
"We are immensely proud of this achievement and honor done to our institution. It is however pertinent to underscore your role in making all these possible," Yebisi stated.
In response, Babalola expressed his delight at ABUAD's accomplishments and reiterated his commitment to the university's continued growth and prominence. He emphasized his vision for ABUAD to be rated among the top 100 universities globally, underscoring the institution's dedication to excellence and innovation.
"We started the university on a rather modest note, but today, through hard work, determination, and cooperation, we have achieved remarkable success," Babalola affirmed.
