To be eligible for undergraduate admission at ABUAD, prospective applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

O’Level Subjects and Grades:

  • Candidates must attain credit level passes (minimum of C6 grade) in at least five subjects during the O’Level examinations.
  • Compulsory subjects include English Language and Mathematics, alongside subjects relevant to the intended course of study, such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature-in-English, or Economics.
  • Accepted O’Level examination bodies include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and GCE, with results not exceeding five years old at the time of admission application. Applicants awaiting results are also eligible to apply but must present their results before matriculation.

UTME Subjects and Scores:

  • Applicants are required to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB and obtain competitive scores.
  • ABUAD specifies a minimum UTME score of 180, although higher scores enhance the chances of admission.

  • Applicants holding HND qualifications may also be considered for admission into the 300 level, subject to a screening procedure.
