Speaking on behalf of the group, the leader of the team, Barr. Tari Ayafa while presenting his report to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Teddy Charles Adias in his office, expressed satisfaction with what he found on ground in the ICT Unit.

According to him, the Acting Director of ICT was competent on his job which made the assessment quite easy for them as everything was well organized.  He recommended that FUO could now apply for approval to start a long distance learning centre.

He however, pointed out the need for more of the database in the Library Unit and that the Smart Boards already available should be installed. He also called for a formulation of the e-learning committee that will produce the e-learning policy document.

The team had earlier paid a courtesy call on the VC on arrival in the school. Other members of the team were Mrs Ramat Jubril and Mr. Andabi Weyienkuro.

The Vice Chancellor in his response, agreed with the need for an e-learning policy ensuring all that the University was committed for the new normal. “We need to be very innovative and to be counted among our equals at least when it comes to connectivity. Today we are able to have fiber optics around the campus”. He noted that “with the help of NCC, we have also been blessed with internet connectivity. If not for the structures, we should have enough spaces between the Faculties”. The VC expressed confidence that with their support and good report, FUO will be one of the beneficiaries of the grant. “We need the support to have connectivity between the campuses”.
