African Thinkers Community of Inquiry College of Education (ATCOICOE) celebrated its 19th matriculation ceremony on a day marked by perfect weather and a warm atmosphere. The event, held at the institution’s premises, welcomed a new cohort of students into its 2023/2024 academic session.

The matriculation commenced with a solemn Holy Mass led by Rev Fr. Kelechi Onubuleze and Rev. Fr. James Onoja, setting a spiritual tone for the proceedings. The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests including the Chancellor of Coal City University, Sir Dr. Chinedu Ani, who also serves as ATCOICOE’s Executive Director.

In his address, the Provost of ATCOICOE highlighted the institution’s commitment to intellectual development and self-discovery, emphasizing its role in shaping future leaders. The event saw the formal admission of students into various schools within ATCOICOE, underscoring its diverse academic offerings in education, science, arts, and vocational studies.

A highlight of the ceremony was the announcement by George Ugwu, Registrar of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), affirming that graduates of ATCOICOE’s Degree and Higher Degree programs will receive certificates from ESUT. This partnership aims to enhance the academic credentials of ATCOICOE graduates, eliciting enthusiastic applause from attendees.

Reflecting on the institution's history and future prospects, Prof. Emeka Igwe, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Coal City University and former Provost of ATCOICOE, encouraged students to uphold diligence and dedication in their academic pursuits.
