On her fourth attempt, Olamide received acceptance offers from three universities in the United States. Among the options, she chose Missouri State University, where she embarked on a transformative academic journey.
Olamide spent two impactful years at the university, earning a Master of Science degree in Chemistry with an outstanding cumulative grade point of 3.95 out of 4.00. Her dedication and academic excellence were further acknowledged through the receipt of eight prestigious awards.
These accolades include the Advanced Science Student grant, Three-minute Thesis competition winner, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center Award, Robert S Christie Memorial Scholarship, Chemistry Department Graduate Scholarship, Outstanding Poster Presentation, Advancing Science Student Grant, and the Delta Corteva Agriscience Travel Award.
