AFUED Partners with Canadian Education Council to Launch International Career Centre
In a significant move to bolster student employability and global competitiveness, Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Canadian Education Council (CEC) to establish an International Career Centre (ICC).
The collaboration, finalized during a high-level meeting on December 18, 2025, aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and global workforce requirements. The ICC will serve as a structured hub for career development, providing students and recent graduates with internationally recognized credentials and practical industry exposure.
Speaking on behalf of the Canadian Education Council, Dr. Adeniyi John emphasized that the centre is designed to equip students with the "relevant skills and practical exposure needed to succeed in today’s competitive labor market, both locally and globally."
