Ahmadu Bello University to Honor 123 Deserving Staff and Service Units
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) will hold an award ceremony to recognize and honor 123 staff and service units for their outstanding contributions to the university's objectives.
The ceremony, scheduled for 2:30 pm at the Yusufu Bala Usman Hall, will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kabiru Bala. This is the second edition of the award ceremony, which aims to boost staff morale, instill trust, and motivate employees.
Last year, 117 staff and service units were recognized and honored. The University Reward and Recognition System Committee recommended 26 categories of awards for 126 staff and service units, following a rigorous evaluation process.
The awardees were selected based on their outstanding performance and contributions to the university, using established criteria and scoring templates. The nominees were drawn from various faculties and departments, including:
- Faculties Outstanding Performance Achiever Award
- ABU Business School
- Faculties of Administration, Agriculture, Allied Health Sciences, Arts, Basic Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Environmental Design, Law, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine
