Experts from Nigeria's textile and allied industries will gather at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, from November 11 to 14, 2024, for an international conference aimed at revitalizing the sector.
Organized by the Textile Researchers Association of Nigeria (TRAN) alongside NILEST and RMRDC, the conference, themed “Empowering Tradition, Enriching the Future,” will feature discussions on digital transformation, entrepreneurship, sustainable practices, and policy support for economic growth.
Prof. Hussaini D. Ibrahim will deliver the keynote address, while Olori Aderonke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi, wife of the Ooni of Ife, and Bayero University’s Prof. M. Sani Gumel will present lead papers on skills development and waste conversion in textiles.
