The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, continues to push the boundaries of academic and research excellence under the leadership of its Commandant, Air Vice Marshal SL Rabe. In alignment with his vision to position AFIT as a global multidisciplinary academic hub, the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, led by its Dean, Air Commodore EA Ejodame, has launched initiatives to equip students with essential soft skills highly sought after by employers.

One such initiative, the "Innovation in Motion" faculty competition, challenged students to create and submit two-minute inspirational videos showcasing their professional aspirations and how their academic journey at AFIT has shaped their career ambitions. The competition not only encouraged creativity and self-expression but also highlighted the Institute’s commitment to holistic student development.

The contest saw remarkable participation, with students demonstrating exceptional storytelling, communication, and critical thinking skills. After rigorous evaluation, Mr. Yahaya Abubakar from the International Relations Department emerged as the Gold Award winner. Miss Susana Echichi, also from International Relations, secured the Silver Award, while Miss Oritsejubemi Christiana claimed the Bronze Award. Additionally, Miss Peace Okeke from International Relations and Mr. Godwin Charles from the Accounting Department received special recognition for their outstanding video submissions.
