Ajayi Crowther University Commended for Seamless, Secure Second Semester Examinations
The ongoing second semester examination at Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has been described as orderly and well-organised, with staff and students commending the university management for putting necessary tools and machinery in place to ensure a successful exercise.
The examination, taking place at both the Ajegunle and Offa-Meta Campuses, has progressed peacefully, with students seen going round both campuses with enthusiasm and high hopes during the examination.
During an assessment visit by the university's Public Relations Office to the Offa-Meta Campus, the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ademola Akinwonmi, stated that students have demonstrated a high level of punctuality and discipline since examinations began.
"Candidates arrived early and have strictly obeyed established rules and regulations," Prof. Akinwonmi said. He further emphasised that there is no cause for concern regarding security at Offa-Meta, describing the campus environment as safe and adequately secured.
He added that the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Afolake Olanbiwonninu, along with a team from the Quality Assurance Unit, had earlier visited to ensure compliance with academic standards and safeguard students' welfare.

Corroborating the Dean's assessment, the President, Ajayi Crowther University Students' Assembly (ACUSA), Emmanuel Bello, and Oluwafikayomi Shittu, a 500-Level Mechanical Engineering student, expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the examinations.
The duo thanked the university management, ably led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, for providing security personnel within the campus. They noted that students have no cause for fear, especially with many residential houses now springing up around the Offa-Meta Campus. Both described the examination process at Offa-Meta as smooth, well-coordinated, and conducive to effective student performance.
At the Ajegunle Campus, students were seen in large numbers at the Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre located within the Florence Ajimobi Information Technology Building. An invigilator, Mr. Ifeoluwa Omotosho, reported that internet connectivity has been stable and efficient, adding that reliable electricity supply has contributed to a conducive examination environment.
Similarly, at the University Lecture Rooms, Mr. Foluso Okelola observed that students have remained compliant with examination regulations, with no reported cases of examination malpractice, a development he attributed to effective invigilation and students' commitment to academic integrity.
Another invigilator, Dr. Amaka Amajor, confirmed that examination materials are sufficient and readily available for all candidates and that invigilators are fully present and diligently performing their duties.
It should be recalled that the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, was physically present at the Offa-Meta Campus on Monday, 8th June 2026, at the commencement of the examination to personally oversee the smooth running of activities.
The 2025/2026 Second Semester examination continues to progress successfully, reflecting ACU's commitment to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring a credible examination process.
