AL-HIKMAH University Welcomes Jubilee Fellows

Welcoming members of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Program, the Vice Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, Prof. Noah Yusuf, thanked members of the group for chosen the school, with a promise that they will gain alot from the various departments they are going to work for the next one year.

He promised them conducive working environment. He also used the occasion to inform members of the group that, notwithstanding the pioneering status of Al-Hikmah University as the first Islamic faith-based university in Nigeria, the school charged the least school fees.

The Vice Chancellor however warned that Al-Hikmah University does not compromise on dressing code, charging them to always dress responsibly within the university campus.

Responding to the various comments by the participants on how difficult it was for them to be selected among the multitudes of Nigerian youths that applied for the fellowship, Prof. Yusuf, admonished Nigerian youths to always have faith in Nigerian government. He enjoined the youths to always have patience and imbibed the spirit of perseverance, saying nobody is going to be left  out, in the nation's match towards greatness.

In his remarks, the school Registrar, Dr. Kazeem Oladimeji charged the participants to devote their time to the new duties they are going to be assigned in the university. He assured them that their dedication to duty can earn them permanent employments with the school.

Earlier, Regional Ecosystem Coordinator, North Central, Nigeria Jubilee Fellow Program, Memunat Manzuma said the program is part of the federal government's efforts at supporting Nigerian youths, to develop on their career paths. She told the youths to use the twelve months to network and also exploit their new situation to better their future. Apart from participants being graduates, she said all of them have also armed themselves with trades and skills. Manzuma therefore said their coming to Al-Hikmah University is an opportunity to learn on the job.
