All Is Well at LAUTECH, Says Vice-Chancellor Prof. Razaq Kalilu
The Vice-Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, has assured that all is well at the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, has assured that all is well at the institution.
He gave the assurance on Friday while addressing the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), led by its President, Olusola Ladoja, during a courtesy visit to the University.
Professor Kalilu commended the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, and the University’s Governing Council for their continued support and prompt attention to the University’s needs. According to him, their commitment has ensured staff welfare and a stable academic calendar since the inception of his administration.
He explained that outstanding issues such as the restoration of students’ union activities and the implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) for eligible staff were already receiving due attention from management.
Earlier, the NANS President, Olusola Ladoja, had called on the University Management to address the concerns keeping some medical lecturers out of classrooms. He also appealed for the Vice-Chancellor’s support to facilitate the restoration of students’ unionism, allowing students to elect their own representatives.

The Vice-Chancellor was joined at the meeting by top University officials, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategy and Development), Professor Tunde Ogunkunle; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Innovations), Professor Dauda Araromi; Registrar, Mrs. Olayinka Balogun; Bursar, Mr. Olusegun Olatokun; and University Librarian, Professor Adefunke Sarah Ebijuwa.
Also in attendance were the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. John Adewusi Adepoju, and the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Azeem Ige.
On the visiting team with the NANS President were the Chairman of the Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Mr. Taiwo Tijani; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Students Affairs, Mr. Victor Dideolu Olojede; and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Mr. Abiodun Oluwaseun.
Professor Kalilu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining peace, promoting student welfare, and ensuring the continued progress of LAUTECH.
