Alvan Ikoku University Matriculates Over 1,300 Students for 2023/2024 Academic Session

On Friday, the Alvan Ikoku University of Education, Owerri, matriculated no fewer than 1,300 students for the 2023/2024 academic section. The Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof. (Mrs) Stella Lemchi, described the ceremony as historical, noting that it would be the last time the institution would matriculate students in collaboration with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
“For over forty years, our institution has collaborated with the UNN to admit and produce graduates,” she disclosed.

Congratulating the fresh students, Prof. Lemchi commended their hard work, dedication, and commitment. She emphasized the institution's reputation for providing quality education and competent graduates, contributing to national development.

In his matriculation address, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, represented by Prof. Joachim Omeje, Dean, Faculty of Education, congratulated Alvan Ikoku University of Education and assured its management of continued cooperation.
He reminded the students that their success is crucial to their families, UNN, and Alvan Ikoku varsity, urging them to determine their direction wisely and strive to make a difference in their endeavors.
