Ambrose Alli University Establishes Truth and Reconciliation Panel
The university community is encouraged to cooperate fully with the panel to ensure a successful reconciliation process.
Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, has announced the formation of a Truth and Reconciliation Panel aimed at addressing conflicts within the university community. The decision was made during the Governing Council's 232nd Regular meeting held from August 28 to 30, 2024.
The panel is tasked with facilitating sustainable actions to promote reconciliation among the university's management, staff, and students. It will invite memoranda from various interest groups and individuals to identify the causes of discord, assess whether the management acted within the directives of the university's governing body, and evaluate the impact of actions taken by the university community.
Members of the university and the general public who wish to submit petitions or position papers can do so by providing 15 copies to the panel chairman, Prof. Kokunre Eghafona, at the University of Benin, or to the panel secretary, Pst. Michael Babalola, at the Vice-Chancellor's Office at Ambrose Alli University. Submissions are due by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
