Ambrose Alli University Implements No-Car Policy for Signing-Out Celebrations

Ambrose Alli University (AAU) has introduced a new no-car policy for its signing-out activities, aiming to ease congestion and enhance security on campus.

The policy prohibits students from driving personal vehicles into the campus during the annual celebrations, a tradition that previously caused heavy traffic and disruptions along major campus routes.

According to the University management, the measure is part of a broader effort to manage vehicle flow, improve safety, and prepare for a modern car park currently under construction. Students are now required to park outside the campus, with the Administrative Block designated as the main gathering and photo area.

The new policy has generated mixed reactions among students. Some welcomed the move, citing a reduction in intimidation and ostentatious displays of wealth, while others lamented the loss of the traditional flair and excitement associated with the signing-out process.

The management has emphasized that the decision seeks to balance celebration with safety and orderly campus operations, ensuring that all members of the AAU community can participate in the festivities without unnecessary disruption.
