Brigadier General Yashau Ahmed, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has advised Corp Members deployed to Anambra State not to consider relocating, assuring them of the state's peaceful environment. The advice was given during his address to the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 Corp Members at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity Orientation Camp in Awka South Local Government Area.

General Ahmed emphasized the significance of promoting national unity and embracing Nigeria's diverse cultures and traditions, highlighting the essence of the Scheme Cultural Carnival ceremony held over the weekend. He urged Corp Members to respect the customs, norms, traditions, and values of their host communities, emphasizing the importance of serving diligently without tarnishing the institution's image or their families' names.

"Ensure that you remain peaceful, resilient, prepared, and ready to contribute your quarter to your host community," General Ahmed stated, underlining the core purpose of the one-year mandatory service to the nation.

He commended the State Coordinator, Mrs. Blessing Ekene Iruma, and her team for maintaining a clean camp environment and urged Corp Members to actively participate in the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program for self-reliance post-service.
