ASUU Awards Scholarships to Indigent Students in Bauchi Zone

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has awarded scholarships worth N2.4 million to 12 indigent students from universities in the Bauchi Zone. Each student received N200,000 to support their education.

The scholarship scheme aims to provide financial assistance to academically qualified students who are economically disadvantaged. The ASUU National leadership has been managing the Gani Fawehinmi scholarship and instituted its own scholarship program to support students.

The Bauchi Zone of ASUU, which comprises six branches, has also contributed to the scholarship scheme. The branches have pledged to support the students further, with some branches paying tuition fees or providing additional financial assistance.
