In a bid to enhance academic excellence and elevate its status, the Vice Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI), Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa, has pledged to ensure that the recent increment in the institution's monthly subvention is put to effective and efficient use.

The announcement comes following a significant increase in the university's monthly subvention from N175.8 million to N275.8 million. Prof. Adeoluwa expressed his commitment to utilizing the additional funds to bolster the university's academic and scholastic performance during a three-day retreat organized for staff members under the theme "The Imperatives of Governance in a Budding University" held in Ikere-Ekiti.

Acknowledging the support of Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the upward review of the institution's subvention, the VC emphasized that the increased funding would alleviate BOUESTI's financial strain, particularly in meeting salary obligations and fulfilling other essential duties.
