Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) gets NUC approval for B. SC in Dental Therapy programme

Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) is thrilled to announce that it has obtained official approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce the full-time mode of the B.Sc. Dental Therapy programme, Myschoolnews report.

This significant achievement follows a meticulous resource verification exercise conducted by the NUC.

During the verification process, the B.Sc. Dental Therapy programme was inadvertently omitted from the list of the newly approved undergraduate academic programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session. BMU promptly brought this omission to the attention of the NUC for rectification.

In a proactive response, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission has assumed responsibility for the omission and has diligently overseen the necessary updates to incorporate the B.Sc. Dental Therapy programme into BMU's academic offerings in full-time mode This approval also extends to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), both of which will be duly informed of this new addition to our academic programmes.
