This dialogue, supported by the Foro Foundation, aims to empower over 200 Muslim opinion leaders to engage in community efforts to combat gender-based violence.

Bayero University Hosts International Science Conference and National Dialogue on Gender-Based Violence

Bayero University, Kano, will host two major events in December 2024. The first is the International Science Conference (Hybrid), organized by the College of Natural and Pharmaceutical Sciences, scheduled for Wednesday, 11th December, 2024, at 9:00 am. The conference, themed Trends in Basic and Applied Sciences, will take place at the J.O.C. Ezeilo Twin Theaters, Old Campus.

The second event is the National Dialogue on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention from Islamic Perspectives, with the theme Islamic Teachings and Community Collaboration for Ending Gender-Based Violence.

The event will take place on Monday, 9th and Tuesday, 10th December, 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Convocation Arena, New Campus, Bayero University, Kano. This dialogue, supported by the Foro Foundation, aims to empower over 200 Muslim opinion leaders to engage in community efforts to combat gender-based violence.
