Bayero University, Kano Approves Revised 2023/2024 Undergraduate Calendar

The Senate of Bayero University, Kano, at its 416th meeting on Wednesday, 28th August 2024, approved the revised calendar for undergraduate programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year. The updated schedule is as follows:

- First Semester Lectures:Monday, 15th July to Saturday, 19th October 2024

- First Semester Examinations:Monday, 21st October to Saturday, 16th November 2024

- Semester Break:Monday, 18th to Saturday, 23rd November 2024

- Second Semester Lectures:Monday, 25th November 2024 to Saturday, 22nd February 2025

- Mid Semester Break:Monday, 24th February to Saturday, 1st March 2025

- Second Semester Examinations:Monday, 24th March to Saturday, 3rd May 2025

- End of Session Break:Monday, 6th May to Saturday, 22nd June 2025

- Resumption for 2024/2025 Session:Monday, 8th July 2025

Additional decisions include:

1. Migration of the Department of Economics to the Faculty of Management Sciences.

2. Migration of the Department of Library & Information Sciences to the Faculty of Social Sciences.

3. Renaming of the Faculty of Management Sciences to the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences.
