Bayero University Postpones 61st Congregation Meeting

The Management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has announced the postponement of its 61st Congregation Meeting, originally scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025. The meeting has been rescheduled to January 2026, with a specific date to be announced in due course.

According to a special bulletin issued by the University on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the decision was made to allow the Vice-Chancellor sufficient time to attend another equally important engagement that coincided with the timing of the Congregation Meeting.

"The postponement, though regrettable, is meant to give the Vice Chancellor ample time and opportunity to attend to another equally important meeting," the bulletin stated.

The Standing Committee on Congregation, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Congregation, extended apologies to all stakeholders for the inconveniences caused by the sudden change in schedule.

All members of the University community are advised to note the change and await the announcement of the new date in January 2026.
