BORMA to Rehabilitate Road Network in Borno State University
The Borno Road Maintenance Agency (BORMA) has pledged to rehabilitate and reconstruct the road network within Borno State University (BOSU).
This initiative follows a directive from Governor Babagana Umar Zulum, the Visitor to the University, who expressed concern over the poor state of the roads during one of his visits.
The Chairman of BORMA, Engineer Babagana Sa'adu, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babagana Gutti, to discuss the agency's plans. Engr. Sa'adu briefed the VC on the proposed repair and reconstruction work, soliciting the university management's support and cooperation.
Professor Gutti welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of well-maintained infrastructure for the university's growth and development. He assured BORMA of the university's support and advice to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
The Vice-Chancellor also proposed a collaboration between the university and BORMA, suggesting that the agency consider maintaining other state-owned facilities, including the state-owned University Teaching Hospital's road networks. This partnership aims to contribute to the overall development of the state's infrastructure.
