Borno State University Appoints New Principal Officers

Borno State University (BOSU) has appointed three new principal officers to key positions in the institution.

The appointments were made following the approval of the Visitor to the University and Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, on the recommendation of the University's Council.

 

The new appointees are Hajiya Jallaba Musa Sheikh as Registrar, Malam Kyari Dunoma Dunoma as Bursar, and Dr. Hamsatu Kadala Ali as University Librarian. Their appointments take effect from December 16, 2024, and are for a period of five years.

The new Registrar, Hajiya Jallaba M. Sheikh, is an indigene of Maiduguri Metropolis and was previously the Director and Head of the Admissions Office at the University of Maiduguri.

 

Malam Kyari Dunoma Dunoma, the new Bursar, hails from Manguno Local Government Area of Borno State and was previously a Deputy Bursar at the University of Maiduguri.

Dr. Hamsatu Kadala Ali, the new University Librarian, is from Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State and was previously the acting Librarian at Federal University Gashua.

 

The Vice-Chancellor of BOSU, Professor Babagana Gutti, congratulated the new appointees and urged them to contribute to the progress and development of the university. The outgoing Registrar, Zanna Mustapha Kashim, also commended the new appointees and urged them to help management build a vibrant university.

 

The new appointees pledged to put in their best efforts to move the university forward.
