Borno State University Mass Communication Department Witnesses Leadership Transition

Borno State University's Mass Communication Department has formally welcomed a new leader, as Professor Nassir Abba Aji handed over the reins to Mr. Michel Bitrus Mingyi, who assumes the role of Acting Head of Department.

Professor Abba Aji's two-year tenure was marked by significant achievements, notably successfully guiding the department through the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation process in 2023. This milestone has substantially enhanced the department's reputation.

During the handover ceremony, Professor Abba Aji charged Mr. Mingyi to foster collaborative relationships with staff, strive for excellence, and build upon the department's accomplishments. Mr. Mingyi pledged to work diligently to elevate the department to greater heights, assuring Professor Abba Aji that he would maintain open communication to seek guidance and uphold an open-door policy.
