Borno State University Matriculate 5th Sets Of Students

Borno State University has matriculated its fifth set of students numbering Two thousand four hundred (2400) with number of direct entry is 174 with 106 males and 68 females, while UTME admitted 2226 students with 1313 males and 913 females. Out of these 88 students with faculty Agric, 774 with Faculty of Science, 631 with Faculty of Arts and Education, 527 with Faculty of Management Sciences and 380 with Colleague of Health Sciences.

The Matriculation ceremony which took place at the University campus, was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe, assisted by the Registrar, Zanna Mustapha Kashim with some principal officers.

The VC in his address implored the matriculants to imbibe the learning and reading culture, be disciplined and strive for excellence. The Registrar Zanna Mustapha Kashim also advised the students to be good ambassadors of the University and adhere to its rules and regulations. 

Professor Sandabe stated that during the 2022/2023 session the University applied for and got approval of NUC on the following programmes, Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Doctor of physiotherapy, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS), Bachelor of Radiography, Bachelor of Health Information Management System (HIMS) and Bachelor of Science Biochemistry, History and Arabic Programmes have been approved by senate of the University and have been forwarded to National Universities Commission NUC for processing and approval.

Institute of Education, has also been approved by the Senate and documents are being prepared for onward transmission to the NUC for necessary action.

The Vice Chancellor disclosed that, the University has graduated its fifth set of pioneer students numbering five hundred and ten (510) and are being issued with their statement of results    

Highlight of the ceremony was the administering of matriculation oath on the new students by the University Registrar, Malam Zanna Mustapha Kashim
