BOSU Inaugurates New SUG Executives

The newly elected Executive members of the Student Union Government (SUG) BOSU have been administered oath of office on Tuesday 5th of March 2024.

The ceremony which was held at the QLT hall of the University has in attendance the Vice Chancellor, Professor  Umar Kyari Sandabe, DVC Academics, Professor. Haruna D. Dlakwa, Management, Staff and students of BOSU. 

It has as President, Comrade Babakura Baba kaka while Comrade Mohammed Tahir is the new Secretary General.

Special Guest of Honor, Commissiner of Commerce, Trade, Investment and Tourism represented by Mal. Ali Gana called on the new executive members to discharge their duties without fear or favour and to exhibit exemplary lifestyle not just to the students of BOSU but the entire Borno community.

The Vice Chancellor, BOSU, Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe who welcomed the dignitaries thanked them for gracing the occasion describing their presence as inspiring to the students.

He said BOSU started four (4) years ago with the 2019/2020 academic session, and pleased that, BOSU has graduated its first sets of students and directed the registrar to issue results of all graduating students by next week.

Professor Sandabe, said probable he will not grace their convocation but promised to give them their degree certificate before he leaves the stage.

He disclosed that, in addition to the 30 courses BOSU started with,  another 7 new medical programmes have been introduced and would commence in this 2023/2024 academic session. 

He then called on the SUG executives to maintain the student interactive session with the management, to enable  management know their problems and find solution to them. 

The Newly inaugurated SUG President, Comrade Babakura Baba kaka thanked the VC, management, staff and students of BOSU for giving them the opportunity to serve the University and promised to promote unity and social cohesion among students.

The epic of the occasion was award presentation, group photo and maliki dance.
