BSU Releases Notice on Commencement of Summer Semester

You may kindly recall on good record that the 30th meeting of Senate held on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2023 approved the commencement of Summer Semester for final year and spill over students after second semester regular examinations.

Its implementation is based on the following:

1. The Summer Semester is to run for three (3) weeks comprising one (1) week of revision and two (2) weeks of examination.

ii. The results of the Summer Semester should be released not later that one week after the examination.

iii. Registration for Summer Semester should be fifty thousand naira (N50,000.00) flat and five thousand naira (N5,000.00) charged per course.

iv. Students participation in Summer Semester is optional.

V Professors are urged to teach and mentor younger colleagues in the process.

vi. Deans and HODs should monitor staff and students under them to ensure that the University laws are strictly applied.

Accordingly, the Summer Semester will commence on Monday, 22nd April, 2024 and end on the 10th May, 2024.

You are kindly requested to bring this memo to the attention of all HODs and students in your faculties for implementation.
