Female hostel maintenance workers at Bayero University Kano (BUK) are expressing significant frustration over unhygienic behaviors by female students within the university's residential facilities.

Cleaners reported finding human waste left in nylon bags, on room doorsteps, on floors, and in cleaning carts. The workers noted their shock that the students responsible often appear neat and presentable when attending lectures, yet contribute to "unbearable odor" and unsanitary living conditions within the hostels.
