Cleaners reported finding human waste left in nylon bags, on room doorsteps, on floors, and in cleaning carts. The workers noted their shock that the students responsible often appear neat and presentable when attending lectures, yet contribute to "unbearable odor" and unsanitary living conditions within the hostels.

According to staff reports, repeated attempts to caution the students have been unsuccessful, and the unhygienic behavior persists daily. The situation has raised concerns regarding hygiene standards in female hostels across Nigerian higher institution
