The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Barun has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting Bayero University to become one of the great Citadel of learning in the country.
He said, "Bayero University Kano is proper to the higher position, it is a matter of duty for me and not a choice." Senator Barau Barun declared.

He spoke On Wednesday 1st November 2023 When Vice Chancellor Pro Sagir Adamu Abbas led the University management to pay a courtesy In his Office in Abuja. He noted that he could not do his best that BUK not only excels in Nigeria, but as well become a household name in the global cycle.
He also disclosed that he is going to build two Specialized hospital fully equipped with modern facilities in Kabo and Bagwai local government, In addition he will construct school hostel in those places with which medical student of Bayero University Kano would be using for their rural posting clinical programme.
