BUK Management Condoles Shettima, Ganduje Over Loss of Mothers-in-law

The Management of Bayero University Kano (BUK), led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, has condoled with Vice President Alhaji Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, over the loss of their respective mothers-in-law.

The team visited the residences of both leaders to sympathize with their families, praying that Almighty Allah grant the deceased Aljannatil Firdausi and the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Hajia Maryam Albishir, 69, mother of Nana Ai'sha, wife of Vice President Shettima, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, in Kano. The funeral was attended by many dignitaries from across the country.

Hajia Asiya Gauyama, biological mother of Dr. Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, wife of the APC National Chairman, was also condoled. Dr. Hafsat is a staff member of Bayero University Kano.

Professor Sagir described the late Hajia Asiya Gauyama as a revered matriarch whose life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to family, community, and faith. He noted that her death is a profound loss not only to her immediate family but also to all who knew her.
