BUK Senate Approves Conversion of School of Postgraduate Studies to College of Postgraduate Studies
The Senate has approved the conversion of the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPS) to the College of Postgraduate Studies (CPS), marking a significant milestone in the university's efforts to enhance postgraduate education.
The approval also includes a change in nomenclature for key positions, effective immediately:
- Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies to Provost, College of Postgraduate Studies
- Deputy Dean (Academics) to Deputy Provost (Academics)
- Deputy Dean (Professional Programmes) to Deputy Provost (Professional Programmes)
- Secretary, SPS to Director, SPS
Additionally, the Senate approved the 2023/2024 academic calendar for the Directorate of Business Studies (DBS) and CPS, outlining key dates for registration, lectures, examinations, and breaks.
