The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has expressed its commitment to partnering with the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, in training and staff development initiatives.

During a courtesy visit to the University's management, CIBN President, Prof. Pius Deji Olanrewaju, highlighted the Institute's ongoing efforts to foster collaboration with universities across Nigeria and six African countries. He emphasized the need for innovation, ethics, and professionalism in the banking and finance industry.

Prof. Olanrewaju also introduced mentorship programs aimed at pairing students with seasoned banking professionals for career guidance and support.

Commending the rapid growth of UNIDEL, he lauded the University's management for their strides in advancing education and institutional development.

In response, UNIDEL Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke, thanked CIBN for its dedication to promoting excellence and integrity in the financial sector. She assured the Institute of the University's cooperation and support in achieving shared goals.

The delegation included CIBN officials Charles Ojakovo, Sir Amechi Sylva, Scholastical Moemeke, Chinenye Onwuka, and Joseph Okolie. They were warmly received by Prof. Chiemeke and UNIDEL's Bursar, Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu.
