In a landmark event that signifies the importance of collaboration and community engagement, the University Management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) embarked on a significant visit to the revered Eze of Iduu Eri Kingdom, Eze A.E. Chukwuemeka Eri, known as Eze Akajiofo Igbo Niile.
Led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, along with her husband, Dr. Michael Omenugha, Etuo Dike na Iduu Eri Kingdom, the delegation from COOU paid a courtesy call to the opulent residence of Eze Akajiofo on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
During the visit, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri commended the university's leadership, particularly praising Prof. Omenugha for her remarkable contributions to education and community development. Drawing parallels with influential women worldwide, he emphasized the need for collaborative leadership in furthering the university's mission.

A significant moment of the visit was the conferment of the title "Ugommuta na Iduu Eri Kingdom" upon Prof. Omenugha, in recognition of her dedication to educational excellence.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof. Osita Chiaghanam, also extended appreciation to Eze Akajiofo for his blessings and acknowledged the positive impact of Prof. Omenugha's leadership on the institution.
