The coalition of Muslim women in Borno state, has flagged off it's 2023 Tree planting campaign at the main campus of the Borno state university, myschoolnews Report.

Vice Chancellor BOSU, Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe performed the flagg off with planting of a tree, followed by some  management staff of the University, including the Registrar Zanna Mustapha kashim, Director Human Resources, Sheriff Taibu Benisheik and the Chief Security Officer, Malam Yusuf Yari.

Others include founder of Go-Green Amb Usman Aliyu and all Staff of BOSU quarters and their families, students and members of the coalition.

 

In a remark, leader of the coalition, Malama Ameera Hafsat Abba Sanusi said, they choose BOSU for the exercise because of the significant role trees play in an environment especially in an institution of learning, as it symbolises the harmony and nature in education.

Ameera Hafsat enjoined the gathering to endeavour to support the exercise by planting more trees.

She appeals to BOSU management to equally support the exercise, by monitoring the trees to ensure their survival as well as check climate change and wind storm. 

Vice Chancellor Borno State University Professor Umar Kyari Sandabe thanked the Coalition of Muslim Women for choosing to plant trees at BOSU as against many places in the state.

He said BOSU welcomed the campaign and assures that all trees planted will be monitored to ensure they survive.
