Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has expressed appreciation to distinguished guests, benefactors, and institutional partners following the successful conclusion of its 16th Convocation Ceremony, with renewed commitments emerging for expanded local and international collaboration.

According to a statement by Dr. Harrison Madubueze, the Vice-Chancellor, Kate Azuka Omenugha, formally hosted and appreciated a series of high-level dignitaries who participated in the convocation activities, describing the event as a milestone in the university’s institutional growth trajectory.

Key international engagement came from representatives of the European diplomatic community, including officials from the European Commission and the Embassy of Poland, who commended the university for the successful execution of the ceremony. The diplomats also indicated interest in deepening academic and institutional partnerships between Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University and institutions across Europe, particularly in Poland.

On the domestic front, the university also received notable visits from Chief Chikwendu Udensi, CEO of Sheiks and Bishops Ltd; former Governor of Anambra State, Sen. Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige, CON; and former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Emeritus Prof. Julius A. Okojie. The visitors reportedly commended the institution’s progress and pledged continued support for infrastructural development and academic advancement.

University management, led by Kate Azuka Omenugha, was joined by senior officials including Prof. Nneka Nnorom, Director of Academic Planning; Prof. K. K. Nwozor, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship; Dr. Chukwunonso Ekesiobi, Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor on Strategy and Policy Implementation; and Dr. Harrison Madubueze, Public Relations Officer.
