Justice E. N. Anyadike delivered the judgment on Thursday, June 27, 2024, under case number FHC/IL/CS/2/2019. The court found that Babatunde, who served as the president of the Association of Veterinary Medical Students (AVMS) during the 2016/2017 academic session, was wrongfully expelled over allegations of misconduct and examination malpractice in the course Zoonoses VPH 508.

Babatunde, also known as Alibaba, denied the allegations and took legal action against the university, challenging his expulsion. The court's decision to reinstate his studentship allows him to resume his studies immediately, marking a significant victory for student rights.
