Experts from the Oracle Academy recently convened at Covenant University's Department of Computer and Information Sciences in Lagos to delve into the burgeoning career paths within cloud-based technologies. The seminar, a collaborative effort between academia and industry, aimed to equip students with essential IT skills and knowledge.

During the event, Professor Olufunke Oladipupo, Head of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, expressed gratitude to Oracle Academy for their commitment to empowering students. She emphasized the significance of students actively engaging with the opportunities presented by Oracle Academy to enhance their educational experience.
Keynote speaker Danny Gooris, Director of Oracle Academy, shed light on various facets of Oracle Cloud-based applications, emphasizing emerging career opportunities such as cloud architect, DevOps engineer, and data scientist. He also highlighted certifications available in Oracle Cloud-based applications, providing students with insights into potential career paths.
Bekere Amassoma, Oracle Program Manager, discussed the global impact of Oracle Academy in advancing technology education. She emphasized Oracle's mission to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering free education resources to educators and students worldwide.

Orijae Olagoke, another Oracle Official, delved into Oracle Application Express (APEX) and its role in low-code development. He emphasized the importance of low-code development in enterprise application development and highlighted the features of Oracle APEX.
